Josephine was retrieved from beneath floorboards of a café cellar, wrapped in a stained tablecloth. Those who kept her claimed glasses of wine soured to vinegar within hours, while mirrors reflected her face instead of their own. A man once offered her a toast as a joke; that night he was found with his throat stained dark red, though no wound was found.
Delphine does not sip—she drains.
