Some thought she was burined with Eliza and for nearly fifty years, there were no records of her.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen, in 1924, she surfaced in the estate of a Boston collector who specialized in objects associated with the occult. The collector reportedly kept Temperance locked inside a glass cabinet. And while he claimed she was nothing more than an old doll, his daughter disagreed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe said Temperance would stare at certain visitors, who would invariably leave the house and later find themselves shaken, confused, or violently ill. Her eyes turned red, staring too long at the unseen things behind them.  Finally it was determined that Temperance appears to see demons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSome believe she was created by a group of women who spent centuries identifying demonic entities hiding among the living.
